Poly Mind

Today we are excited to announce Poly Mind, a feature that lets you turn your entire terabyte-scale file system into a catalogued, tagged, instantly searchable second brain. Automatically as you work, Poly Mind creates a rich representation of your life to give your agent workflows a superhuman understanding of your life. This feature requires no management or configuration, and works completely in the background. Poly Mind integrates seamlessly with your external agents like ChatGPT and Claude as well.

Agent Memory, Evolved

Poly Mind emerged out of our users asking for a better way to integrate their file systems with their agents. Many “second brain” strategies exist, but almost all rely on fragile configurations, not direct support. For example, several users reported building second brains in OneDrive by having the agent catalogue their system every once in a while. These kinds of strategies are fragile, frustrating, and extremely limited. For example, as files move or change the entire index needs to be rebuilt, and in some cases agents lose trust in the second brain completely.

With Poly Mind, you can give terabytes of photos, videos, documents, spreadsheets, PDFs, links, audio books, music, and even all the junk in your downloads folder, and Poly Mind will know how to sort out the good from the irrelevant and assemble a pristine database of your details. Then, you can simply ask the agent questions like “does my landlord allow me to play music after 10pm?” and the key details are already available to the agent without having to read through mountains of stuff. Best of all, as these files evolve or new data is added, your Poly Mind evolves with it.

Detail-Obsessed and Totally Transparent

Poly Mind is totally transparent and auditable at it’s core. It stores its memories as simple markdown files you can open and edit. We give you a feed of all the “memories” Poly has accumulated, and you can edit or remove whatever you want. You can also go into “reminisce” mode with the agent and help it learn more about you, ask you for clarification, and create deeper connections.

Integrated With Everything

Poly Mind is limited to the Poly Agent. Your Poly Mind is available everywhere in any agent experience you want. That includes ChatGPT Work/Web, Claude Code/CoWork, and any harness out there. Our MCP service has been updated with new guidance and tools to let it use your Poly Mind just as well as the CLI or the embedded agent. And we’ll be rolling out more tools to help you manage your second brain with Poly, such as granular permissions, controls, and bulk actions.

🧹 Improvements

• You can now use @ commands to insert files into your agent chats, your folder notes, your markdown files, Poly Mind notes, and journal entries. References to files are written as normal links in markdown files, allowing you to use the markdown like normal.

🐞 Bug Fixes

• An issue was fixed with tooltips having the wrong location
• Our update server was fixed so apps that were not updating should now work
• A bug was fixed with listing your folders that may have caused some users to experience errors
• In certain situations uploads would fail due to server overload and now receive a backoff
