CLI

The desktop app ships with poly, a command-line tool for working with your files from the terminal — listing, searching, reading, uploading, restoring old versions, and more.

# List your home drive
poly ls //Home

# Search everything, semantically
poly search "that pdf about quarterly planning"

The CLI talks to the desktop app's local cache, so it inherits everything the app can do: most commands work offline, uploads resume automatically, and reads come straight from local storage when possible.

Installing it

Open the Poly desktop app and choose Install CLI Tools from the app menu. That's the whole install — the binary ships inside the app. See the CLI section for details, and the command reference for everything it can do.
