Sidebar

The sidebar on the left is your map of everything in Poly. It shows your own storage at the top, followed by your favorites, your shared drives, and files other people have shared with you.

Press ⌘ \ to show or hide the sidebar. You can also resize it by dragging its right edge, and dragging it all the way closed hides it. Sections with a header collapse when you click the chevron next to their name.

Folders in the sidebar expand in place. Click a folder's chevron to browse its contents without leaving the file you're viewing, and drag files onto any sidebar folder to move them there.

Roots

The top of the sidebar lists your three roots:

• Home is your personal file space and where you land when you open Poly.
• Archive holds files you've deleted. See Recovering Files for how to bring them back.
• Agent opens your latest conversation with the Poly agent. Expand it to jump back into any previous conversation.

Right-click Home or Archive for quick actions: open it in a new tab, ask the agent about it with Ask Poly..., or scope a search to it with Search within....

Favorites

Favorites are your pinned shortcuts. Right-click any file or folder and choose Add to favorites to pin it, or drag it onto the Favorites section. Remove one by right-clicking it and choosing Remove favorite.

Anything can be a favorite: files, folders, even agent conversations. Favorited folders expand in place like any other sidebar folder. Favorites are stored on your account, so they follow you across devices and browsers.

Shared Drives

Every Shared Drive you belong to appears here, and each one expands so you can browse it directly from the sidebar. Click the + in the section header to create a new drive.

Right-clicking a drive offers the same open, ask, and search actions as your roots, plus drive-specific ones: Go to archive opens the drive's own archive, Leave this shared drive removes you from it, and owners also see Delete (permanent).

Shared With Me

Files and folders that other people share with you individually collect here. The list stays in sync with your access. When someone shares a file with you it appears automatically, and when they revoke your access it disappears.
