Introducing Poly Carbon
File Storage for Carbon-based life forms
Today we are excited to unveil our official premium tier service, which we call “Poly Carbon”. We wanted something unique (no more plus/pro/primes), but still, dare-we-say, human?
Poly Carbon is a single subscription that can save you hours of time a week while giving you the security of Poly’s file storage solution that’s as durable as diamond. Search across your vast file system and ask near limitless questions with a generous 10 million tokens a month, and 2 Terabytes (TB) of storage.
Best of all, we’re offering it for only $10. And for usage that goes beyond those 2TB, you can store as much content as you want with usage based billing at just 1¢/GB.
In the next few weeks and months, we’re going to be unveiling so much more that you’ll be able to do with Poly Carbon, in terms of search, collaboration, and organization. This is just the beginning, and a milestone we hope for carbon based life forms everywhere.

- View your usage stats right from the settings menu. On web, we also give you your “web storage” (which is your browser cache that we use as a local file system on the web!). You can clear your web storage right from this menu.
- You can now upgrade to Poly carbon with a simple click in your settings menu. Your storage will instantly upgrade.
- Uploads and other events now report changes to your total storage usage.
- Dragging in files in a multi-window setting on desktop is now fixed.
- Fixed in issue where sidebar items were not clickable
- Mobile users now see a helpful error message that mobile devices are not supported, rather than a broken experience
- File names ending with a space are now handled correctly
- Editing folder notes on Safari doesn’t display erroneous html markup
- Fixed caching policies for web assets that was causing the experience to break intermittently
- Fixed issues with text rendering on many pages
- Opening files on desktop or on web via the right click menu now works as expected
- Fixed an issue where the Finder locations icon for Poly was not displaying correctly
- Fixed an issue where providing the agent with files that were too large was causing the chat to end abruptly.
Just before dawn.
