Commenting
This week we introduce the ability to write comments on any file or folder, which has been a much-requested feature, and dovetails nicely with the launch of shared folders (which have been renamed to “Shared Drives”). You can go into the “Activity” panel which previously showed your file history (and a section for “comments” already 😉). Check it out!
From there, you can write your comments and they’ll appear in the list. We’re working on making this feature even cooler with in-file annotations, replies, and notifications for users of shared folder. In the near future, we’ll also make it possible for the agent to read and write comments as well, giving you yet another agentic superpower.
Improvements
- Shared Folders are now named “Shared Drives” (with no other functionality changes)
- Dramatic speed and efficiency improvement for the web based on an internal refactoring of the data structure
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue with errors occurring after being added to a shared folder
- Agentic searches would erroneously occupy two rows even if returning a single row of results
- Fixed an issue with previewing files on desktop
- Fixed the look and feel of desktop buttons
- Fixed a bug where a tag may be added multiple times
- Turning a shared folder from public to private now works
- Fixed an issue with inviting a user to a shared folder on desktop
- You can now leave a shared folder under all circumstances, whereas before certain role assignments would prevent you from removing yourself
