Waterfall

Browse large numbers of files visually using a compact thumbnail grid.

Waterfall is a panel view that displays all files in the current folder as a compact, scrollable grid of thumbnails. It is designed for fast visual browsing when a folder contains many files, particularly photo sets, image libraries, or mixed-media collections.

Open Waterfall from the Tools pill in the bottom-right corner. Waterfall is not available when the Agent panel is active or when a file is open in preview mode.

The thumbnail grid

Files are arranged in a fixed five-column grid. Each tile is square, sized to fill the available panel width. The grid scrolls vertically with no pagination — all files in the current folder are visible as you scroll.

Thumbnails are generated for any file type Poly can preview: images, PDFs, videos, and most documents. Files without a previewable format display a generic file-type icon.

The grid follows the same sort order as the current view mode.

Selecting files

Clicking a thumbnail selects that file, exactly as clicking it in the main panel would. Selected files are highlighted in Waterfall and remain selected in the main panel at the same time. All standard multi-select gestures work (Shift+click for a range, Cmd/Ctrl+click for individual additions).

Opening the Details panel while files are selected in Waterfall shows the same metadata and properties it would anywhere else.
