Tools Menu
The tool panels that ride alongside your files — Agent, Chats, Outline, Details, Activity, and Waterfall.
The tools menu opens Poly's side panels — focused tools that work alongside whatever you're browsing. Each panel has its own page in this section:
- Agent (
⌘ /) — chat with the AI agent that can read, search, and act on your files - Chats (
⌘ ?) — browse and search your past agent conversations - Outline — navigate a long agent response by its table of contents
- Details (
⌘ I) — view and edit a file's metadata, tags, notes, and rating, and check its intelligence pipeline status - Activity — review file history, leave comments, and restore or revert past versions
- Waterfall — browse large numbers of files as a compact thumbnail grid
- Flashback — scrub through your folder or file's history on a live timeline
Opening a panel
Open panels from the tools menu in the toolbar, or with their keyboard shortcuts. One panel is visible at a time — opening another swaps it in place, and the same shortcut toggles a panel closed again. Poly remembers which panel you had open.
Panels are contextual: select a file and Details or Activity reflect that file; open the Agent and it's aware of your current selection and folder.
