Poly Mind lets your agent draw on your files and memories when answering questions or helping with a task. You can use that context in Poly's own agent or connect an agent you already use.

Choose how to connect

Agents on your desktop

For an agent that can work with tools on your computer, use the Poly desktop app and its included CLI. This gives the agent a way to find and read your Poly files and memories as part of its work.

Follow the desktop CLI setup, then choose the matching guide in Integrations to connect your agent.

Agents in the cloud

For an agent you use through a website, connect your Poly account through MCP. Once connected, the agent can look up relevant files and memories during your conversation.

Choose your agent in Integrations for the connection steps. Available connection options depend on the agent you use.

Ask for context from Poly

Be direct about where the agent should look and what you want to know. For example:

Use my Poly files and memories to find the lease for my current apartment. Summarize the rent, lease end date, and notice period, and show me the source.

You can also ask for help that brings several memories together:

• “Use my notes in Poly to remind me where I left off on the garden project.”
• “Find the photos and journal entries from my last visit to the mountains.”
• “Look through my Poly memories for ideas I've saved about a home office.”

If an answer seems incomplete, give the agent a date, topic, or filename to narrow the search. Ask it to check the original files when you need more detail.

Keep your context useful

Review your memories in Mind and correct details that are incomplete or out of date. Add your own notes when there is context your files do not capture. See Managing your memories.
