ChatGPT Work (Desktop)
The ChatGPT desktop is a perfect fit for Poly. If you have the local CLI installed, the app can talk directly to it and provide fast, native access to your Poly files, including extensive version control, search, and file management. If you don't have the CLI installed (e.g. you don't have the desktop app, you aren't on macOS, or you don't want the CLI installed), the ChatGPT desktop app can still use Poly through our hosted MCP server.
CLI Integration
If you have installed the desktop app, then the CLI is packaged with the app. For installation instructions, go to the CLI documentation. Once installed, you should point ChatGPT Work to the following Github repo. Here's an example command you can paste directly into ChatGPT Work:

Once you have done that, please go ahead and test things for me:
1. Try and use the `poly` CLI, and tell me whether it works and you have access. For example, try running `poly app status`.
2. Try and use the Poly agent skill to list my Poly Home directory.
Remote MCP Integration
- Install the ChatGPT agent plugin. Here's a command you can paste into your ChatGPT Work window:

Once you have done that, please go ahead and test the MCP server for me
During installation, you may need to go to your settings to configure the MCP integration, or to login to it. ChatGPT opens a browser window to sign you into Poly. Logging in here grants the connector access to your files.
