Poly has two ways to give other people access to your files, and they solve different problems.
Which one do I want?
Share a file or folder when the content belongs to you and you want specific people — or anyone with a link — to see it. You stay the owner, and you can revoke access at any time.
Create a Shared Drive when the content belongs to a team rather than to a person. A Shared Drive is its own storage space with its own members, roles, and archive, so files don't disappear when someone leaves.
