| Poly support | Partial. Poly recognizes model/x-mot and processes valid LightWave motion data when supported. |
| Indexed by Poly | Partial. Poly indexes filenames and can use visual similarity when a schematic rendition is available; scene counts appear in details. |
| Preview in Poly | Partial. Poly can provide a schematic or skeletal rendition when motion data is readable; the motion file does not include a matching object. |
| Poly agent | Partial. An optimized rendition of the 3D object or scene is provided to the agent, allowing compact yet information-rich multimodal interaction with 3D files when a rendition is available. |
What does model/x-mot represent?
model/x-mot identifies LightWave object-motion data. A MOT file stores keyframed animation values for an object or scene and does not contain a mesh or complete renderable asset.1
How to open it
Use LightWave 3D and load the motion onto its matching object. Verify frame rate, axes, and timing.
Poly support
Poly recognizes model/x-mot and .mot, indexes the filename, and can use visual similarity when a schematic rendition is available. Available motion and scene counts appear in details. A MOT file contains motion data rather than a finished object; readable data may receive a schematic or skeletal rendition for agent interaction.
