What does model/x-fbx represent?
The model/x-fbx media type identifies autodesk fbx scene files, normally stored as .fbx. FBX is a scene interchange format available in binary and ASCII forms. It can carry meshes, materials, transforms, skeletons, cameras, lights, and animation, but compatibility depends on the producing application and FBX version.1

Kaydara created FBX for its Filmbox product in the 1990s; Autodesk later acquired the technology and maintains the FBX SDK and format ecosystem. 1 Choose glTF or GLB for interactive scene delivery, OBJ for simple mesh exchange, and 3MF for manufacturing packages when its optional metadata matches the workflow.
