| Poly support | Partial. Poly recognizes model/x-csm and processes valid CharacterStudio motion data when supported. |
| Indexed by Poly | Partial. Poly indexes filenames and can use visual similarity when a schematic rendition is available; scene counts appear in details. |
| Preview in Poly | Partial. Poly can provide a schematic or skeletal rendition when marker data is readable; marker data does not include a matching character. |
| Poly agent | Partial. An optimized rendition of the 3D object or scene is provided to the agent, allowing compact yet information-rich multimodal interaction with 3D files when a rendition is available. |
What does model/x-csm represent?
model/x-csm identifies ASCII CharacterStudio motion-capture data. CSM records marker names and frame samples for use with a compatible rig, rather than defining a mesh or material set.1
How to open it
Use 3ds Max Character Studio and apply the motion to a matching biped or marker setup. Browsers do not render this media type directly.
Poly support
Poly recognizes model/x-csm and .csm, indexes the filename, and can use visual similarity when a schematic rendition is available. Available motion and scene counts appear in details. CSM contains marker data rather than a finished character; readable marker data may receive a schematic or skeletal rendition for agent interaction.
